Surrounder
In the WWII Oil Storage Tunnels

Two Australian musicians recently signed to European labels present a night of minimal and evocative music in the underground of Darwin's WWII Oil Storage Tunnel.

Rob Curgenven (privatelektro) and Blastcorp (City Centre Offices) will bring the 170 metre tunnel to life with the warm resonances and haunting harmonics of their sound sculpture using a unique surround sound system and visual projections.

Rob Curgenven will present unusual, unprocessed recordings from a grand piano mixed with field recordings from his time living in and around Darwin and the desert, alongside recent sounds from the urban landscapes of Berlin to the quiet sonic vistas of rural Poland in winter.

Blastcorp is Darwin based musician Kris Keogh, who will perform using live guitar, piano samples and self designed sound processing software.
