            Darwin Festival 2004
The Darwin Festival proved to be an outstanding success
this year with local and visitor numbers even higher than last year.
Not only were attendances excellent, the Star Shell in the George
Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens was a huge hit, with locals and visitors
enjoying the Top End's beautiful Dry Season weather at the outdoor
              venue.
The Darwin Festival organisers would like to thank all those that
made the Festival such a success. Without the assistance from our
sponsors and supporters, members, audience, artists and performers,
and of course our wonderful volunteers, it could never have been
the amazing event that it was.
The festival officially closed on Sunday August 29 after 18 days
and over 105 performances and events from local, interstate and
              international talent.
We look forward to seeing you all again for the Darwin Festival
from August 11 to August 28 in 2005.
