Blind Date

Blind Date is an exciting project that aims to develop collaborative relationships between emerging artists and Artist Run Institutions around the Territory. Blind Date consists of three stages:

1. Artists were paired up from different regions in the NT and began communication
2. In May, the artists met their ‘dates' face to face in Tennant Creek;
3. Now is the final stage when the completed collaborative art works are exhibited - first in Darwin, then touring to Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

The artists involved are:

- Tobias Richardson (Capricorn/Darwin) vs Andre Lawrence (Virgo/Pine Creek)
- Andrew Pickering (Aries/Katherine) vs Alan Bethune (Cancer/Alice)
- Kirsten Markinson (Leo/Darwin) vs Franca Barraclough (Capricorn/Alice)
- Aly De Groot (Scorpio/Darwin) vs Barbara Whippy (Gemini/Tennant)
- Alison Dowell (Gemini/Darwin) vs Janine Stanton (Cancer/Alice)
- Elka Kerkhofs (Leo/Darwin) vs Mark Misic (Cancer/Maningrida)
- Max Bowden (Sagittarius/Darwin) vs Lynette Lewis (Taurus/Tennant)

Blind Date' is a collaborative visual arts project between Darwin Visual Arts Association (DVAA), Watch this Space (Alice Springs), Arts Katherine, and Barkly Arts (Tennant Creek).
