Batari Workshop - Traditional Japanese Taiko Drumming, Percussion and
Asian Wind Instruments

Moto Niwa and Tom Mikula from Batari bring their broad collective experience to bear on an informative workshop that introduces the unique history of Taiko, the basic techniques and forms of traditional drumming and percussion, and hands-on ensemble playing.

Batari also show their approach to blending traditional rhythmic patterns with melodic improvisation.
